Rachel Littman, Founder
Rachel is a former Wall Street structured finance attorney and law school career services dean. Frustrated and inspired to do more by the lack of movement in racial and other gaps she saw in law school admissions tests, grades, bar exam passage and employment ranks, Rachel set out on a personal and intellectual journey to investigate what other factors might be behind these persistent problems. Masters courses in Sociology of Education at NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development helped fill in some of the background, but it led to awareness of gaps in information and knowledge. SeeTheGaps is Rachel’s way of bringing together resources and issues from a mixture of disciplines. She hopes the site will help politicians, policy advisors, academics, and ordinary people gain a better and more clear understanding of the inequalities issues and the opportunities to investigate, collaborate, and close the gaps.
Rachel currently lives in Houston, TX with her husband, two children, and their rescue mixed chocolate lab.
